Primary purpose is the e-filing of court documents. This includes but not limited to the filing of proof of claims, notice of appearances, withdraw of claim and any type of documentation needed by one of the Attorneys or Paralegals. In addition, must maintain the file room. Will create hard copy files of the new bankruptcy cases. Will do the mailing and faxing or emailing as needed. Handles the closing of all the bankruptcy files which includes scanning to eliminate physical files. As a Special Projects Clerk this position is assigned projects by the Office Manager or assist the paralegals. 1. Electronically filing documents by accessing PACER with provided passwords to file in appropriate U.S. Bankruptcy Court. 2. Will handle mailings via email, fax and U.S. Postal Service. 3. Maintain physical files by organizing them in the file room in numerical order. 4. Will create physical files and file them in the file room along with retrieving and storing files for staff and attorneys. 5. Will close physical file by scanning and preparing file for storage. 6. File documents in appropriate file folder. 7. Will assist manager with PACER Reports when out of the office. 8. Will assist manager and paralegals with special Pay Rate: $15/hr. Contract to Hire
