Senior Parts Buyer (NW Houston)

Obtain purchase requirements by verifying MRP data. Prepares and forwards purchase orders to assigned vendors. Places regular stock order and emergency orders as required to maintain the desired fill rate. Verifies supplier pricing and resolves all pricing discrepancies. Works cross functionally to support the customer service team with timely information with regards to ETD/ETA information. Review of MRP output and/or daily backorder report, issuance of purchase orders, expediting of deliveries and transaction verification. Handle correspondence concerning over, short and damage. Authorize payment for purchases by review of invoices and related documentation. Maintain appropriate levels of stock in accordance with company fill rate and turnover goals. Analyze supplier pricing and determine selling prices to the market. Review new machine catalogs and place initial stock orders to support new machines released to the field. Maintain MRP data and makes changes as required to support department fill rate and turnover goals. Working knowledge of SAP and MRP and Intermediate to advanced Excel skill. Ability to act independently to determine best course of action on new assignments. Ability to respond consistently with a high degree of initiative to resolve issues or complex problems. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong negotiation skills.
