Job Description
Inventory Specialist [Direct Hire]
$55,000 - $65,000 | Southwest Houston
Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm
Direct Hire Opportunity
We are looking for Inventory Specialists who brings unwavering professionalism and meticulous accuracy to this direct-hire position. Successful Inventory Specialists should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, excellent observation skills to analyze and conceptualize inventory data, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. We are looking for a specialist with inventory experience as well as mid-level management experience. Inventory specialists can expect to work closely with management, oversee multiple teams, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting.
Inventory Specialist Responsibilities:
- Track inventory maintenance
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory, reviewing inventory counts and cost/rack reports
- Control flows of equipment and supplies
- Report to management and advise on process improvements
- Coordinate experienced inventory workers
- Lean methodology experience
- Compiles inventory reports and make adjustments
- Addressing any problems, obstacles or challenges
- Forecast future inventory requirements
Inventory Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the field
- Data entry and intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Able to work weekends on occasion
