Job Description
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
- Direct sales forecasting activities and sets branch performance goals
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the branch operation, to see that policies are being observed and that goals are being attained
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
- Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote products
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives by maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
- Prepare periodic sales reports including sales volume, potential sales, tentative d areas of growth
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of competitors
- Provide training, coaching, development, and motivation to bring out the best in each team member
- Communicate effectively with other branches and senior managers by sharing information on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs
- 5 - 10 years of successful, proven track record as a team leader or Branch Manager
- Strong closing skills and the ability to train staff on sales techniques
- Strong understanding of sales, operations, budgets, and administrative knowledge to promote growth and increase sales
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Demonstrates group presentation skills
- Ability to present numerical data effectively in a sales presentation
- Understanding of how teamwork and team building effects sales
- Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives to support the success
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- SAP is strongly preferred or another ERP system.
