Bilingual Patient Access Representative

Job Description
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, direct caller to appropriate personnel, or initiate a triage telephone encounter for response by medical personnel
- Schedule appointments and enter appointment dates and times
- Record all filled or canceled appointments
- Maintains accurate physician and audiologist schedules
- Reschedules all patients and update the calendar
- Gather the patient’s demographic and insurance information to verify eligibility
- Assist with referral and online appointment scheduling
- Transfer phones to night service and retrieve messages from the answering service
- Must be bilingual [conversational]
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of medical front office experience
- Scheduling and appointment setting including calendaring
- Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel basic knowledge
- Understanding of HIPPA laws
- Pleasant and friendly demeanor
