Job Description
AutoCAD Drafter/Homesite Planner [Hybrid]
$25/hr. | Gulf Freeway
Monday – Friday 8 am 5 pm
Contract – Indefinite
Resource Staffing is seeking a homebuilder AutoCAD Drafter/Site Planner to start right away. Our client’s workload has increased, so the builder is needing an AutoCAD Drafter for an indefinite period to assist with future home site and lot plans for development. The Site Planner is primarily responsible for the completion of home lot requests, and site plans and for supporting the New Home Starts department.
AutoCAD Drafter Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up preliminary site plans from surveys or plats on AutoCAD
- Complete final site plans on AutoCAD
- Complete lot fit requests
- Review Title policies
- Maintain an understanding of current home design standards, codes and community guidelines
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all home site plans
- Assist Site Planner Manager as needed
- Work under extreme time constraints at times
AutoCAD Drafter Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Computer Drafting or Design preferred
- One (1) year of experience in basic drafting methods and an understanding of symbols and techniques of drawing via AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of Architectural Language pertaining to residential construction
- Ability to read blueprints, surveys, Metes & Bounds descriptions
- Experience in civil drafting preferred
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong Math and Geometry skills needed
