We are seeking a Starts Coordinator for a major home builder in north Austin.

Job Overview

Responsible for developing panels, collecting paperwork, submitting for new home build approvals and permits, and entering data into several JD Edwards screens. This position requires a high level of organization and ability to manage the critical tasks related to starting a home.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare homesite lists and enter them into JD Edwards
  • Order plats, “as builts”, address plats for Construction & Sales
  • Research and setup MUD districts/City requirements for Water Taps & Permits
  • Homesite Release Forms to New Home Consultants (NHC)
  • Release homesites in JDE
  • Panel Sheet creation and obtain DOC approval on Panels
  • Submit for and track Developer Approval
  • Order all checks for Permits, Water taps, and impact fees
  • Create Pipeline and Start reports
  • Coordinate Start Meeting, maintain Start Log
  • Input Trench Date – JDE and Input Start Date – HIS
  • Input Plan #, Elevation & Swing in JDE after panel approval
  • Coordinate all lot purchases between divisions, developers, & title company
  • Track all lot purchases on forms and schedules
  • Prepare wire disbursements for corporate
  • Enter/Remove Option Lot Takedowns in JDE
  • Monitor all developer takedown schedules and insure that everything is up to date
  • Order Lot Surveys for each homesite
  • Collect Change Order Summaries from New Home Consultants for each Panel
  • Enter the Options in the JD Edwards Lot Checklist Option Selection screen
  • Meet and review lot take-downs with Controller monthly

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in related job. Must be very efficient and detailed oriented.
  • Experience with JD Edwards and strong MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Proficient with computer programs and a working knowledge of new technology such as iPads
  • College degree or related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
